Hacienda Xcanatun

The magnificent Hacienda Xcanatún-Casa de Piedra (meaning “tall stone house” in Mayan) was originally constructed in the mid 18th century as a classic hacienda dedicated to agriculture and livestock. Its colorful history included being owned by a notable local family before becoming one of the most important sisal-(“green gold”) producing haciendas in the region.

Located minutes from the center of Mérida, Xcanatún had fallen into ruins, but after five years of restoration by the Ruz family this incomparable hacienda lives again. In this historic location guests can enjoy the comfort, quality and passion for detail that distinguish the best hotels of the world.

Today, Hacienda Xcanatún exceeds its original beauty thanks to the talent of master craftsmen and preserves part of Yucatán´s cultural heritage while providing guests with the comforts and indulgences of the modern age.
