Mini Yucatan Special

Day 1: Arrival to Cancun, transportation to the hotel.

Day 2: Cancun – Chichen Itza – Ik Kil – Merida.

Departure from Cancun to Chichen Itza. Magicians, scientists and the ball players – only the selected ones were able to access to this special landscape of the white stone and of the “eyes” of the earth – the underground lakes. Temples, which are considered as belonging to the classical and post-classical periods, did not arrive to see Spanish as were abounded by its population because of unknown reasons. Arch-astronomy was born in one of such cities. You will see: the Pyramid of Kukulkan, “the feathered serpent”, the ball games field, the observatory etc. Swimming in the cenote of Ik-Kil, “a place where the wind is being born”, and the Yucatan most beautiful karsts lake.

Day 3: Merida – Uxmal – Celestun – Merida.

Uxmal- incredible city of the Mayan Classic period. It is one of the most beautiful ancient Mayan cities.

Visit the amazing Pink Flamingo reserve, where on the area of 591 square meters about 10000 animals and birds are living, including big colony of pink flamingo. You can observe these elegant birds early in the morning or in the evening, renting a boat. Boat ride lasts about 2 hours. Huge colony of the crocodiles, rare species of the tortoises – in general 554 species live in the reserve. 15 of them are Endemic types. For example, you can find here spider monkeys, anteaters and some unique types of eagle-owls. Arrival to Merida.

Day 4: Merida – Coba – Caverns – Cancun.

Start from Merida, a picturesque colonial city, the capital of the state of Yucatan. The unique stalactite caverns or cenotes, the “eyes of the earth”, are fantastic place for diving or snorkeling. Coba is the ancient city, drown in the subtropical jungle. Bicycle/rickshaw city tour. Return to Cancún or Riviera Maya.
